Thanks to an abundance of insect biomass on the Upper Provo,
our trout are especially hearty.

Our portion of the Upper Provo River is extremely well oxygenated and clean, providing the perfect conditions for a world-class fishery. Other freestone rivers are being dammed and polluted at an alarming rate, which is why we take the management of our fishery and the surrounding aquatic habitats very seriously.

Not only do we strictly enforce a catch and release policy, but we also teach our members how to handle fish properly, ensuring they will be released unharmed. Victory Ranch has banned lead weights and fluorocarbon line in favor of more environmentally-friendly tin weights and monofilament line. All anglers must debarb their hooks to protect fish from being damaged when the hooks are removed.

Our members are also required to reserve and fish a designated "beat" on the river. This type of system ensures less pressure on the fish, and allows you to enjoy more solitude.

"We need the tonic of wildness. . . We can never have enough of nature." - Thoreau
