An abundance of natural springs in the Alpine Preserve supports a wide variety of wildlife.
Deep in the upland territory of Victory Ranch, thick stands of quaking aspen and Gamble Oak grow alongside mountain springs and natural beaver ponds. This is the Alpine Preserve, a special piece of land where members can lose themselves in nature. Follow narrow hiking trails through thousands of acres of deep woods. You can even stay the night in one of our remotely situated yurts to really get a break from the stresses of daily life. Bring along an elk bugle to have a conversation with our four-legged residents. If you're quiet and they accept you as a resident, you'll see scores of Ranch wildlife. Victory Ranch is in the process of putting this unique expanse of land into an easement so that it will be protected and enjoyed for generations to come. |
"We need the tonic of wildness. . . We can never have enough of nature." - Thoreau
